The Wimmera is dry, flat, and in the middle of nowhere. Why would anyone move there? Six families and individuals from all over the world share their stories.

This 33 minutes documentary explores the reasons for moving to a totally non metropolitan environment and the difficulties and opportunities faced by people from different cultures in their new land. Wimmera G’days is approved by the Documentary Australia Foundation for supplementary funding.

DAF is ‘ a private initiative that provides information and resources to philanthropic grantmakers, charitable organisations and documentary filmmakers in order to explore, share and enhance their mutual objectives of creating a better society.’    ( www.documentaryaustralia.com.au)

Donations to approved documentaries and film makers are fully tax deductible.

My aim with this documentary is to take it to broadcast standard and to produce a study guide for schools and migrant groups. Please contact me if you wish to be financially involved in this project.
